RFD 2

Handbook

A collection of information, guidelines and learning moments for ourselves and our colleagues.

Credit goes to Oxide for their inspirational pursuit of openness, transparency and trustworthiness. This format heavily draws from their RFD page.

RFDs?

Requests for Discussion - or RFDs - are central to our operation. They indicate that nothing we do or know is set in stone. RFDs are drafted based on all the information that was available at the time. However, just like for our software, new insights arise and new opinions are voiced. RFDs reflect that.

We ask for a critical stance to any RFD you read, and encourage additions, removals and updates in conjunction with the team.

Working as a Developer

The following ever growing list of RFDs provides some guidelines on how we aim to work. Some things we emphasize heavily and pride ourselves with being strict about while for other aspects there is more leniency.

  1. Writing Good Programs
  2. Using Git
  3. Working with Sensitive Data
  4. Avoiding a Quick Fix
