Privacy Principles
Our stance and efforts to handling your data with respect and transparency.
Privacy Is Normal
Privacy is one's right to not being observed, nor disturbed, without explicit consent. Privacy is the power to selectively reveal oneself to the world"
At Defined Once, we believe privacy is normal. It is a fundamental right that all of us get to experience.
We acknowledge that our digital world is not only inhabited by agents, bots, governments and corporate entities. It is inhabited by human beings like us.
We acknowledge that, like nature, the Internet came without privacy, and that it is up to us to design, implement and protect it.
We acknowledge that we must use our expertise, experience and power to protect the privacy of those who are unable to protect their own.
What We Collect
On our website, we use a self-hosted Umami server to get an idea of its popularity. It collects:

- Referrers and environments: where visitors come from (Google, LinkedIn, ...) and what device is used (browser and OS)
- Performance metrics: web metrics such as LCP, TTFB, FCP, INP and CLS.
We do not use cookies. Please feel free to block our statistics server (umami.definedonce.com/) and the statistics script (served from umami.definedonce.com/in.js).
